Inexpensive vs. Mid-priced Dress Shirts

I do not understand why people buy inexpensive dress shirts as opposed to mid-priced ones.

Generally speaking, inexpensive dress shirts get wrinkled easily, are too thin, sometimes they’re not 100% cotton, and don’t last long.

However, mid-priced dress shirts don’t get wrinkled easily, they’re just right in terms of thickness, they’re 100% cotton and last long.

Let’s say inexpensive dress shirts costs 1,000 pesos versus mid-priced dress shirts that costs 1,500 pesos, most people would choose the inexpensive shirt because of the price alone (given that they look nice and fit well).

If you wear a dress shirt at least 1 time a week, let’s say you spend 10 pesos every time you iron it. Since there are 52 weeks in a year, you spend 520 pesos ironing the shirt.

Now if you just bought a mid-priced dress shirt for 1,500 pesos, you would rarely have to iron it and it looks good for a longer amount of time. Investment and fashion-wise, it simply makes more sense.
